Blessed Angelo Paoli was born in Tuscany in 1642 and was a member of the Carmelite community of San Martino in Rome. He ministered to the sick and the poor, and with methods associated with our modern age such as rehabilitation centres and the use of the creative arts.
He reached out to directly help orphaned and vulnerable children – to see themselves anew in the light of God’s Love - and he managed to involve the wealthy and the politically powerful of the town in his efforts.
